Tuesday, November 20; 33rd Week of Ordinary Time

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will enter the house and dine with him and he with me."  Revelations 3:20-22.

I will not open the door when I am proud, because I will be filled with fear of who is on the other side, fear of knowing that he will see me for who I am and not who I pretend to be.  I will not open the door, because I am selfish and wish to share my meal with no one.  I will not open the door because my heart is dead and I no longer care.  I will not open the door, because I prefer to be with my mistress instead of You.  I may not open the door because I am too miserable to even know I am miserable.

Answer the door. Please, answer the door.
